Hold Your Own Screening!

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

You can now hold your own public screening of “FEMA City” when you buy a copy of the film.

  • Buy the DVD.  Click here or on the Film Baby logo on the right and order the film online.
  • Get a Venue. Hold the screening at your local theater, local theater, school, public library, etc.  If you can get the screen and a DVD player then you are good to go. Other options include making it a sponsored event to support a charity or affordable housing organization.  Give people a reason why they should let you have the screening at their venue.
  • Download Promo Materials. Click here or look on the right for the Downloads/Media link and download the press kit, flyer, and poster.
  • Spread the Word.  Publicize your event by calling sending emails to you local newspaper, radio, and TV stations.  Contact local charities, schools, churches, support groups, political parties, committees.  Tell all your friends on MySpace or Facebook to tell their friends, etc.  Print up some flyers and posters and hang them everywhere.  Get signed up at Brave New Theaters so people can reserve seats and you can keep track of the people who are interested in coming.Tell us and we’ll post it on our site. There are many ways to get people to know about a screening, so use them all.
  • Get the Filmmaker.  If you would like Jamin to come and speak at your screening, please contact us and we’ll give you more details on how to make that happen.
